Teachers Visitation BVM School – Kensington, PA

WE NEED YOU (or someone you may know)  FULL OR PART TIME!

Since 1883, Visitation BVM School has served as a beacon of hope for the Kensington community. For the 2022- 2023 school year, we need teachers for Grades 5 and 2.  Presently we can consider candidates who may want part-time or long-term substitute status in addition to someone wanting a full-time, permanent position.   Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and be able to prove that they are working towards their PA state certification. Candidates should send a cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation to ecoleman@visitationbvm.com.

Responsibilities of Teachers

  • Follow PA Common Core Curriculum and create lessons to meet the needs of all students
  • Prepare lesson materials, grade tests and projects, establish classroom behavior management systems, and evaluate student progress
  • Exercise open and respectful communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, and other school staff
  • Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
  • Attend conferences and workshops in order to advance professional development
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and in the school community

Qualifications of Teachers

●      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students
  • Proven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environment
